Prayers

The wires of your mind may drag you down
They may twist your heart and make you frown
They may bring memories that make you mad
But know you have the willpower you've always had

The horrors of your past may drag you on glass
Until you bleed and ache in your heart's inner core
Until you scream and shout until there's nothing left
But you continually resist and ask it to bring on more

Our lives may ache with the scars of a thousand ages
Your words of sorrow may fill countless pages
Your wounds may close then open yet again
Just open your prayers to God and send
